Dear Winter:Did you not get my message? You were officially over a few days ago. I tried to break it off gently. I tried to ease you into it. I put away the winter jacket in favor of my fleece zip up jacket. I started to wear brighter colors, not just the dark ones that many wear when you're around. I even put away my boots. But no, you still didn't get the message.
It's not like you didn't know this was coming. It's been a long time since I wanted you here. You're cold, and dark, and a mess. You make my car messy, roads slippery, and travel a hassle.
So take a hint. I'm ready for spring. It's spring break at 2:20 today. I want sunshine. Clear, blue skies. Warmth. Wildlife. Green grass. And those are things that you just can't give me.
So get the message Winter, take a hike. Now.

I'm with you on that! Although my Spring Break isn't until the end of April. It will definitely be ridiculously hot in Louisiana by then!
